All About "Mama and The Mouse"

Hey, Y'all!

I'm so glad you're here!

Welcome to my new online travel diary. A little about myself: My name is Abbi and I am a former travel advisor/agent turned blogger! My family and I travel a lot throughout the year, especially to a little place called Walt Disney World. We are huge Disney Destinations fans, so much so that several years ago we all became out-of-state passholders at Walt Disney World. However, TRAVEL, in general, is such a passion of mine. This is what led to me becoming an advisor and assisting others in booking and planning vacations to just about everywhere.

Now, I am taking my expertise and placing it somewhere else: a written travel blog where I'll share our experiences, tips and tricks, travel news, and more! Expect to see a variety of travel topics and discussions, but with a special focus on family-friendly content.

Mama and The Mouse! :)

Let's Get Personal

My Alabama-based household consists of myself, my husband, and our five year old son. We often travel with extended family! My husband and I went on our first trip together after dating for just a few months, and we haven't stopped vacationing since! Our son is always in tow for every adventure.

My travel preferences:

  • "How often do you travel?" I try to take at least a small trip every 2 months or so. We travel to Walt Disney World 4-5 times a year (we try to go at least once each season). We like to take several beach trips during the summers as well!

  • "Where is your favorite vacation destination?" Walt Disney World will hold a high place in my heart forever, but I also am in love with Whitehouse, Jamaica, New York City, Destin, FL, and Corpus Christi, Texas.

  • "What is the most stressful thing about traveling?" So let's get real--traveling CAN be stressful! I think things that cause the most stress would be lack of prior knowledge on a destination, trip delays, and sickness. It all happens! The best thing to always keep an open mind and be a flexible as possible.

  • "How would you describe your travel style?" I definitely like for a good combination of R&R and play! Even at Disney, I don't like to hit the ground running each morning. I always try to try at least one new activity and one new meal on each trip--even those destinations I have visited several times! Bonus points if we can turn an activity into a learning experience, and if there are a good bit of things for the littles to do.

Y'all come back now, ya hear?

Thank you for coming along! Stay tuned for the latest news, updates, tips and tricks from the travel world!
